Brooke Lodge Riding Club has qualified for the Horseware Team Show Jumping final at the Dublin Horse Show in August after the club hit the jackpot last Saturday.
The South County Dublin based club was the only team, of the nine competing teams, to finish the day on a clean sheet to secure their place at the final.
After the opening round over Eamon Holmes track at Boswell Equestrian, just three teams were level on 0 penalties including teams from Brooke Lodge, Enniskerry and Hollybrook.
As the afternoon wore on, however, the team captains proved crucial as to whether a jump-off would be required to decide the spoils.

Enniskerry’s Shawna Waters dropped the first part of the double on Salty Waters Kilmullen. Next in was Jade Morton and the Brooke Lodge captain produced a clean slate on Highland Scarlett to pile the pressure on Barbara Smyth.
The Hollybrook captain set off in determined fashion and all was going well until Smyth clipped a pole going into the first part of the double which left the Brooke Lodge team of Natalie O’Keeffe (Paddys Cruising), Emer McNamee (City Star), Avril Clear (Killerisk Amanda) and Jade Morton (Highland Scarlett) in the top spot and heading to Dublin.
Three teams tied for second place including Hollybrook, Enniskerry and Clonough who improved on their opening round to finish with nothing to add to their opening tally of 4 penalties.
Each teams combined time in the second round decided the placings which favoured Hollybrook who finished narrowly ahead of Clonough in third place.
The Hollybrook team of Sarah McMickan (You Two), Claire Fannin (Phillistown GVP), Rachel Lippiatt (Ringfort Tinkarula) and Barbara Smyth (Cloon Dark Cloud) will get another opportunity to qualify at next months Riding Clubs Festival in Mullingar.
