Two Donegal teams qualify for 2017 Team Dressage Championship final

Two teams qualified from the West region where 5 teams took part in the recent Connolly’s Red Mills Dressage Championships qualifier at Eglington Equestrian Centre, Co. Derry.

Donegal Gaeltacht Riding Club secured first place after two of their team members – Cassandra Mc Gee (Gone With The Fairies) and Rudy Schneider (My Boy Boysie) – scored in the seventies.

Liz Potter provided the teams other score of 66.6% while teammate Patricia Warren followed closely behind after Burinex recorded 65% in front of Petra Kuckick. This gave the club a total of 211.6% to claim the spoils.

The Letterkenny club secured the remaining qualification spot after Vera Keatings (Madges Lane Jen), Cormac Mc Cormack (Lenamore Santa Fea), Tanya Jacob (My Pal Al) and Louise Edwards (Killydesert Bob) accumulated a total of 202.71 to finish ahead of Inishowen in third.

Five teams have now qualified so far for the final which takes place at Mullingar Equestrian on Sunday 20th August.
