Three North East teams qualify for Connolly’s Red Mills Team Dressage C’ship

Ashbrook Riding Club claimed two of three qualification places on offer for the Connolly’s Red Mills Team Dressage Championship last Sunday.

11 teams took part in the qualifier at the National Horse Sport Arena at Abbottstown, Co. Dublin where the Dublin-based club, Ashbrook, which also won The Irish Field Team Dressage Challenge at the Riding Clubs Festival last month, topped the bill on a total of 402.96%

The Ashbrook team of Ashbrook John Gavin (Good News Charlie), Margaret Aughney (FCD Something Special), Helena Fitzgerald (Gentleman James) and Niamh Campbell (Boots) held a narrow advantage over second placed, Border Counties who had a total of 401.13%.

Ashbrook also claimed third place on 398.97.
