The sunny South East certainly lived up to its reputation, as 15 teams took to the scorching main arena of Barnadown Equestrian, Wexford, with the kind permission of Maurice and Felicity Cousins, for the hotly contested South East Regional qualifiers of the Foran Equine Team Show Jumping competition. The event was hosted by Thomastown and District Riding Club and Brenda Nolan adjudicated for the day.
Five teams battled for a place in the Foran Equine sponsored 70/80cm competition, vying to reach the final at the AIRC Festival in June. 2 rounds of jumping over Felim O’Dowd’s inviting course followed and the team of Warrington Wonder Women had secured the win and their place in Mullingar
next month.
