9 teams lined out in Mullingar Equestrian centre on Sunday 18th May for the midlands region qualifier for the AIRC RC 70 RC80 team Showjumping Championship, very generously sponsored by Foran and hosted by the Fagan family. Following the first round, just 2 teams remained on zero faults, Mullingar White and Mosstown, followed closely by Lakelands Mavericks with just one time fault. Both the pressure and the temperature increased for the second round. Mullingar White maintained a clean sheet to win the competition and qualifying for the Championship final to be held at the AIRC Festival in June. Lakelands Mavericks finished in 2nd with just the one fault, Kilrainy Conquerors were 3rd, Mosstown 4th, Lakelands Icemen 5th and Meath Green 6th. Pat Prenderville (Meath Gold) and Jan Dickson (Mullingar Maroon) were awarded best turned out on the day.
