Headfort emerged triumphant from a six-way jump-off in the AIRC Team Show Jumping Championship qualifier at Mullingar Equestrian last Sunday.

12 teams from the Midlands area took up the challenge where six clubs were level on 4 faults after the two rounds were complete.

The winning team consisted of Lynsey Rogers (Oreo Lad), Emer McNamee (Happy Chap), Mary Govern (Roebuck Rascal) and Rachel Muldoon (Ballymotey Carla Vision).

They finished ahead of the Kilrainy team of May Gilsenan (Lisatara Hope), Evelyn Healion (Agreement), Mary Flynn (Balrowan Clover), and Roisin Gilsenan (Major Tom Franklin) in second place.

The highest-placed eligible team will receive an invitation to compete at the final in August while the second-highest eligible team will go forward to contest the wild card qualifier at next month’s AIRC Riding Clubs Festival.
