Rock of Cashel Riding Club won the Horseware Team Show Jumping Championship qualifier last Sunday after a two-way jump-off.
15 teams, representing 9 clubs, took part in the qualifier for clubs in the West Midlands at Roscrea Equestrian Centre last Sunday where Jimmy Quinn provided the challenge over a 10-fence course with 12 jumping efforts.
Three teams including Mill Road, Rock of Cashel and Three Counties were tied for first place on zero after the opening round. This was reduced further after the second round as Rock and Cashel and Three Counties maintained the pressure to finish with nothing to add and force a two-way jump-off.
Aiden Fogarty was first to take on the jump-off course and the Rock of Cashel captain powered through on ISHD Castaway to cross the line in a time of 28.14 seconds with all fences intact.
Katie Frazer put up an impressive effort on Keylogues Clover Lady who narrowly missed out with a clear round in a time of 28.67, just over half a second slower.
