Lorraine McConnon won the Treo Eile Thoroughbred Award on Xibit A at the Equipeople sponsored AIRC National Eventing Championships yesterday.

The Headfort rider was the highest-placed thoroughbred competing at the championships who was eligible for consideration to win the €100 training bursary.

The 19-year-old bay mare, Xibit A, ended on a total of 94 penalties after the three phases were completed.
