Carne Riding Club finished best of the teams entered at the Connolly’s Red Mills Team Dressage Championship Qualifier last Saturday where less than 5 percent separated the top three teams.

Only four teams took part in the South East decider at Carrigbeg Riding School in Carlow which meant only one team would qualify for the final in August.

The Carne team of Melanie Hammel (Taylor Slaney Cruise), Adrienne Bogan (Small Thoughts), Nessa O’ Sullivan (Moondance) and Ian Grace (Rhaegar WV) finished on a total of 204%.

The Wexford based club, Ballycanew, was second on 199.8% just slightly ahead of the hosts, Barrow Valley on 199.4%.
