Two Kilkenny clubs feature among the top five fastest growing clubs within the Association of Irish Riding Clubs.

Thomastown & District Riding Club saw its membership increase to 59 members, an increase of 84% on the previous year, to take the top spot.

Warrington, based just outside Kilkenny City took fifth place after their membership increased by 42%, to 37.

Glengarriff Riding Club added 7 members to see its membership increase by 70% during 2016 while Ballycanew in Wexford saw its tally increase by almost 64%, at 36.

Tipperary-based Arderin Riding Club also saw a 50% increase in its membership which stands at 12 for 2016.
