The Path Ahead with Covid-19 outlines what activities are permitted at this time and also sets out the measures and protocols that our clubs must implement to ensure we have a safe environment for our members, officials, and volunteers.
This new document will be updated on a continuous basis in line with Government restrictions as they evolve in the months ahead.
To recap as there have been some changes in recent weeks, permitted activities at this time include:
- Instructor-led group lessons are now permitted in pods of up to 15 outdoors only. No indoor training is not permitted at this time.
- Outdoor recreational activities such as hacks and beach rides are now permitted in groups of no more than 15 people.
- Multiple pods are permitted if space allows.
- Training events (i.e a training class with no placings, prizes or rosettes)
Competitions are not permitted at this time as per Government and HSI restrictions. Competitions are set to resume from 7th June as long as the Government continues to ease restrictions.
Inter-county travel is permitted in the Republic of Ireland. Travel from NI to ROI or ROI to NI is subject to the public health measures as issued by the NI Executive and the Government of Ireland.
As restrictions ease further in the weeks ahead, we must also remain vigilant and maintain the basics including social distancing, hand washing, and wearing face coverings or masks.
All AIRC Covid-19 protocols must be adhered to at all activities to ensure a safe environment for all.
For the time being, all activities must be pre-authorised as required by HSI and organising clubs/regions must submit an AIRC Activity Notification Form a minimum of 3 working days prior to the activity taking place for club activities. 10 days notice is required for inter-club activities. Activities cannot take place if this has not been submitted.
All activities are to take place behind closed doors with no spectators attending whilst all attendees must also complete an AIRC Covid-19 Attendance Form for contact tracing and health screening purposes prior to attending any activity. If an individual has not completed the form in advance, they cannot attend the activity. It is important that the event organiser reviews these before each activity.
This new document replaces our previous document The Pathway for the Resumption of AIRC Activities which was published last year.
