Riding members will continue to receive a €15 discount on their membership fee when they renew it in 2022.
The discount is in recognition of the lost months of activity earlier this year while the country was under Level 5 public health restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This means that the fee will stay at €50 next year for riding members who are registered to an affiliated club this year. Affiliated clubs must pass this discount on to their members upon renewal next year.
AIRC chairman Tony Ennis said, “our organisation was hugely impacted earlier this year when we had to cease activities for around 4 months due to the Governments public health measures but thankfully we were able to get back up and running with four of our 6 championships taking place over the summer.”
Our prudent management over the years means we are in a position to show solidarity with our members and offer this discount with the €50 registration fee equating to just €4.16 per month.”
When compared to the Olympic disciplines, our membership fee is at least two thirds cheaper as outlined below:
The above comparison includes any horse registration fees required by the relevant organisation and is based on registering at a level comparable to AIRC in dressage, jumping and eventing competitions.
The discount only applies to 2021 members renewing in 2022, otherwise the fee remains at €65 for anyone else wishing to apply as a riding member next year. This includes those who were previously a member but not registered in 2021.
