Over 500 riders, representing approximately 130 teams, are expected to take part in this years Horseware Team Show Jumping Championship as qualifiers get underway this weekend.
The popular series is sponsored by Horseware for the ninth consecutive year and the next few weeks will be a busy time for clubs around the country as they seek qualification for the final at the Dublin Horse Show in August, where nine teams will battle it out for the honours.
The championship opens this Sunday with three regional qualifiers taking place at Kilrainey Equestrian Centre in Kildare, Maryville Stables in Cork, and Coilog Equestrian Centre in Kildare while the remaining five qualifiers take place throughout the rest of May.

A team must win its respective regional qualifier to secure a place at the final while the runners-up have another opportunity at the Riding Clubs Festival in June to book the remaining place at the decider in August.
Members must be registered with the Association of Irish Riding Clubs before the 30th April in order to be eligible for this championship.
