A number of new proposals are under consideration following a Grading Review process which began a number of years ago.
All relevant stakeholders were consulted during the process with recommendations put forward to the Board for consideration earlier this year. The proposed changes include the following:
- Streamlining of the grade names for greater clarity
- A new competition structure giving members a greater choice of competitions to compete. This will allow members to compete in competitions at a higher level and also at a lower level in competitions where available.
- Defined role and eligibility criteria for the Club Grading Officer.
- Defined role and eligibility criteria for the Regional Grading Officer.
Affiliated clubs will be asked to vote on these proposals next month with a view to implementing them in 2022, should the clubs adopt the new grading structure.
To facilitate this, a number of information webinars will take place on Monday 1st November and Tuesday 2nd November 2021.
These are open to a maximum of 3 attendees per club and these should include the Club Chair, Club Secretary and Club Grading Officer where possible. Attendees must be a member of an affiliated club.
Details on how to register for these have been sent to Club Secretaries and registration closes at 12 noon on Friday 29th October 2021.
Further information will be circulated to clubs after the webinars have taken place.
