A fantastic morning’s jumping took place in the gorgeous sunshine with the most fantastic views over Drogheda town and the surrounding countryside at Costa del Monasterboice at Monasterboice Stables.

A massive thank you Ard Lú Riding Club who hosted today’s fantastic Foran Equine RC70/RC80 SJ Team Qualifier. Where a total of two teams from Mullaghmore Riding Club and Cheval Riding Club put on a fantastic display of jumping over the Laura Carrick designed course with Maria Carrick as judge. With each rider jumping two rounds at either RC70 or RC 80 it was best 3 scores to count at the fantastic big arena at Monasterboice Stables, held here by kind permission of Kenneth Rock.

After the first round, both teams were on 4 faults. After the second round the Mullaghmore Riding Club team of Anne-Marie McMahon (The Maggie Lady), Alyson Reilly (Edenmore Lucky), Kerrie Ryan (Chester Cake) and Marese McCarra (Cecil) took home the win, finishing on a total of 12 faults.
The Cheval Riding Club team of Geraldine Farrell (Sisco’s Choice), Maria Watson (Rusey Red Behan), Joanne Bayle-Kiernan (Cairnview Highness) and Sue Byrne (Billy Bonkers) took home the runner up spot of 2nd finishing on a total of 16 faults.

Next weekend is the RDS Team SJ Qualifier being held at Kernans Equestrian Centre, hosted by Mullaghmore Riding Club. Entries via your club secretary close at 9pm tomorrow (Monday).
