Six teams travelled to Mullingar Equestrian Centre to compete in the Midlands Region Foran Equine AIRC RC 70 RC 80 Team Qualifier, with the competition proving to be closely contested from start to finish.
Following the first round, two teams remained on a perfect score of zero faults – The Royals (Meath Riding Club) and Midlands Miscellany, a combined team representing Lakelands Riding Club and Kilrainy Riding Club. Close behind them was Lakelands Riding Club, sitting on just two faults and well within striking distance.
The second round produced an exciting finish, with Joan Brady and Bobby Dazzler II delivering a superb clear round for Meath Riding Club’s The Royals. Their flawless performance secured victory on a final score of zero faults.
Lakelands Riding Club claimed second place on two faults, while the combined Lakelands and Kilrainy team, Midlands Miscellany, finished third.
The remaining placings were:
- 4th: Girls Aloud (Meath Riding Club & Headfort Riding Club)
- 5th: Mo Chara and Tara Hill Riding Club
- 6th: Annaharvey Riding Club
