The Association of Irish Riding Clubs has launched a new Grassroots Jump Training Series which will provide a great opportunity to compete and train with an accredited coach offering real-time feedback in a competition environment.
Lt Col Tom Freyne has also been confirmed as the coach and assessor for the final which will take place on Saturday 26th November at Emerald Equestrian in County Kildare.
There will be three competitions catering for RC 70 up to RC 110 graded riders in show jumping with training bursaries on offer for those who qualify for the final.
Participants at each qualifier and the final will receive feedback from an accredited coach while they will also be assessed with marks awarded style, effectiveness of riding and the quality of the horse’s jump and paces. Any penalties will also be factored into the equation to determine a result for the competition.
The series is due to get underway over the Halloween Bank Holiday weekend with six qualifiers taking place before the final at the end of November.
Members of affiliated clubs may enter via their Membership Online account and entries are now open for the qualifiers taking place over the Halloween Bank Holiday.
