ISH wins Horse Sport Irelands working hunter championship

Burrough Hill Boy, ridden by Coole Lane’s Antonio de Burgh, rounded off a successful outing at the AIRC Riding Clubs Festival with a win on the Horse Sport Ireland sponsored working hunter championship at Mullingar Equestrian, Co. Westmeath on Sunday (9th June).

The 5-year-old chestnut gelding had earlier won the 4 and 5 year old section before impressing the judges, Joanne Quirke and Conor Higgins, in the final.  The Norman Allen bred Irish Sport Horse had taken the reserve champion in the Carl Geisler Championship the day before along with first place in the lightweight hunters class.

The Jayne Kidd ridden, Disclosure, was named the reserve champion for Ashbrook.  The 6-year-old ISH grey mare was bred by Peter E Moony.
