The green light has been given for the resumption of club training activities as outlined in Tier 1 of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs Pathway for the Resumption of Activities.
From Monday, instructor-led group lessons may resume in line with the measures and protocols necessary to ensure a safe return to activities after they were suspended on 19th March.
It follows An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar’s announcement yesterday of the commencement of Phase 2 of the Government’s Roadmap which is due to start on Monday 8th June.

There are a number of changes to Tier 1 in light of the changes announced yesterday:
- Travel restrictions extended from 5km to 20km from your home or within your county – whichever is greater.
- Group size participating in lessons increases up to a maximum of 15 (including trainers and coaches).
Further changes are planned for the later phases in light of yesterday’s announcement by the Government and we will update the plan shortly.
Clubs, members and organisers are reminded that they have a responsibility to ensure our sport is conducted in a safe manner and that full adherence to the provisions of our protocols such as social distancing is absolutely necessary.
