Horse Sport Ireland has issued an update regarding the use of Indoor Arenas from Monday September 20th.
The guidance is as follows:
Equestrian Indoor Arenas:
Those who are organising indoors events are to make a determination if they are indoor or outdoor or be comfortable demonstrating/explaining how if an issue arises. The classification of outdoor could be that the space is not heated, well ventilated and has features of an outdoor covered space.
Equestrian centres should consider if they have any other (non COVID) area of business where they have to classify the venue/facility type and if so they should be consistent with approach. This, we understand, would be areas such as tack shops, cafes, canteens, offices, etc.
If treated indoor they can operate up to 100 or in multiple pods of 6 depending on the vaccination status of those involved. With regards to spectators if they are indoors and have mixed immunity patronage they won’t be able to have spectators until October 22nd.
