The Department of Health and the HSE launched its new Covid-19 Tracker app last week and has already been downloaded over one million times.

It’s designed to help reduce the risk by identifying close contacts of people who test positive for the virus.

You can download the COVID Tracker app at www.covidtracker.ie, in the App Store, or Google Play.

The app keeps an anonymous record of people you are in close contact with and makes contact tracing quicker.  It helps to find close contacts you might have forgotten or who are unknown to you, like when you are shopping or on public transport.
