Following the Government’s announcement yesterday to introduce local Covid-19 restrictions in Laois, Offaly and Kildare, all AIRC competitions are suspended in those counties for the duration of these restrictions.
It follows concern at the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the three counties.
The restrictions came into effect at midnight last night and remain in place for two weeks.
These new local restrictions mean that:
- Competitions are suspended in those counties.
- Training may continue outdoors, subject to a maximum of 15 people.
- Members residing in the three counties may not travel outside of their county to attend an AIRC activity.
- Members residing outside of the three counties may not travel into any of the counties to attend an AIRC activity. While travel is permitted through the counties, the Government is asking people not to stop in the counties.
As always, please follow the advice of the government and health authorities during this time. Continue to do the things that will protect yourself and others such as frequent hand wash, physical distancing and practice cough and sneeze etiquette.
