Horse Sport Ireland is advising all in the equestrian sector that the care of animals including horses is exempt from new Government restrictions on movement that come into effect from midnight, on Friday 27th March, to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
This means you can continue to travel to collect horse feed, bedding and other products needed for the care of horses and for urgent veterinary visits.
Horse Sport Ireland have sought clarification from Government as to how this affects other equine travel such as visits to stud farms and exercise arenas and will issue further guidance as it comes available.
Horse Sport Ireland strongly encourage all equestrians to strictly follow all of the new Government restrictions on non essential travel to help to play our part during this pandemic.
