The Association of Irish Riding Clubs has taken the decision to suspend all national and regional activities up to and including Sunday, 29 March.
We understand that this decision may cause disappointment to our clubs and members but we are confident that it is in the best interest of our community.
Clubs, at their own discretion, may continue with their regular training activities for their members on a local level for the time being but this may change as the situation develops.
Clubs must follow any HSE and government guidelines and ensure that there is adequate hand washing facilities or hand sanitiser available, social distance from others and exercise proper cough and sneeze etiquette at their club activities.
As this situation has the potential to change quickly – If the health authorities change their guidance, AIRC will respond accordingly and update our website and communication when required.
In the meantime, try to exercise your horses where possible, observe good hygiene, keep the mind focused and do nice things to feel happy.
Further Information on COVID-19 is available from the HSE website.
There are also HSE posters that may be of value to print and put up in your clubhouse.
Wishing you all good health.
