The National Lottery has announced details of its Good Causes Awards, with a total prize fund of €95,000, and is encouraging sports clubs to apply.

The awards are composed of seven categories: Sport, Health & Wellbeing, Arts & Culture, Heritage, Community, Youth Affairs and the Irish Language.

Each of the seven category winners will pick up a €10,000 prize with the overall Good Cause of the Year to be presented with an additional €25,000.

The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday 20th February at Dublin’s Mansion House to honour the inspiring work and achievements of thousands of projects, clubs and individuals all over Ireland.

Clubs who received National Lottery funding between 2014 to 2019 (inclusive) are eligible to apply. Applications for the Awards are now open and people can enter and check eligibility at www.lottery.ie/goodcausesawards.
