Chris Carter, Samantha Hayes, and James O’Reilly have been elected to the Board of Directors following a secret ballot with results announced at a National Committee meeting last Thursday evening.
Five candidates contested the election, including outgoing Board member Grainne Healy and Erin Fergus. In a closely fought ballot, Grainne Healy narrowly missed out on re-election by just one vote.
Grainne has served on the Board of Directors for many years, making a significant contribution through her dedication and commitment. The organisation extends its sincere thanks to her for her years of service and wishes her every success in the future. She will continue to play an active role as a member of the National Committee.
Chris Carter said about being re-elected: “I am truly honored to be reelected and grateful for the National Committee’s support in entrusting me with another three-year term. I look forward to continuing to serve on the Board of Directors and contributing to our shared mission.”
Samantha Hayes said about being elected : “I am delighted to be joining the Board. A huge thank you to Tony & Gráinne for their time, effort and commitment they have given over many years. I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
James O’Reilly said about being elected: “I am honoured to have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs. AIRC plays a vital role in supporting, developing, and championing riding clubs and their members across the country, and I am privileged to contribute to that mission. I look forward to working collaboratively with my fellow board members to strengthen our community, enhance opportunities for riders, and support the continued growth of our sport.”
