The grading criteria for advanced primary riders in dressage is to change from 1st January 2019.
Advanced Primary dressage riders should note that from next year, should they attain 65% or higher, or the equivalent points, in registered and unregistered Dressage Ireland competitions on five occasions in a calendar year, they are no longer eligible to remain at advance primary for dressage and must upgrade to the next appropriate level.
The remaining criteria for the grade remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, Advanced Primary riders will continue to be allowed to wear spurs in pure dressage competitions and showing competitions only.
Members are reminded that this does not include eventing or combined training.
