AIRC Director General David Abbott said, “This is fantastic news to see so many clubs availing of this government initiative and to see the fruits of their efforts coming to bear. I hope many more clubs will avail of this in future years.”
“Over the past three rounds of funding, allocations to riding clubs has almost doubled on each occasion. In 2017, five clubs were awarded €22,500 between them while in 2018 just over €44,000 was shared between 5 clubs and this time around its grown to almost €90,000. It would be great to see upward trend continue to help us grow participation in our sport.”
