The Association of Irish Riding Clubs has been shortlisted in four categories at this weekends Irish Sport Horse Industry Awards.
1. Best International Equine Enterprise Award
In recognition of a large scale Irish equine enterprise operating on a global scale. This award recognises an enterprise that is a significant provider of employment domestically; have excelled in terms of innovation and creativity; and have promoted and represented Ireland and Irish horse industry with distinction worldwide.

This award recognises a successful Irish equine enterprise operating on the Island of Ireland. The winning enterprise will have demonstrated a commitment to innovation, product development, continuous investment and expansion.

3. Industry Research and Development Award
This award recognises an Irish organisation or research institute engaging in equestrian research that has best demonstrated excellence and / or made a significant contribution to the Irish sport horse sector.

In recognition of innovation, leadership and creativity, this distinguished award recognises ingenuity, originality, commitment and dedication, and a meritorious contribution towards positive changes in the Irish sport horse industry.

5. Equestrian Event of the Year

6. Breeder of the Year Award

The annual industry awards take place on Saturday 28th April 2018 at The K-Club in Straffan, Co. Kildare.
Last year, the Association won the Organisation of the Year Award at a ceremony at the Radisson Blu St Helens Hotel in Dublin.
