The Association of Irish Riding Clubs is making a grant available to clubs to encourage them to resume their training activities as soon as they have considered that it is safe to do so.
Clubs were given the green light to restart their training programmes earlier today, 8th June, after the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic led to the suspension of all AIRC activities on 19th March.
The once-off grant, up to a maximum of €150 per club, may be used for instructor-led group training purposes for riding club members only.
AIRC chairman Tony Ennis said, “We’re delighted that club training can now recommence under our plan for a phased return to activities and as an added incentive for our clubs to resume their training programmes as soon as possible, as long as it is safe for them to do so, we’re making this grant available and clubs have until the end of this month to apply.”
‘Clubs have a responsibility to ensure our sport is conducted in a safe manner and that full adherence to our protocols and measures outlined in our Pathway for the Resumption of our Activities is necessary,” he added.
