Clubs are being encouraged to get involved in this year’s Volunteers in Sport Awards, in partnership with the National Network of 29 Local Sports Partnerships, which were launched earlier this month with Sports Ambassador David Gillick, double European Sprint Champion.

Nominations for the Volunteers in Sport Awards 2023 are open. This event celebrates the dedication and hard work of volunteers who fuel the sports community in our region. With over 450,000 volunteers in Ireland, the economic impact their work has to the country is €1.5 billion.

Winners from 32 counties will each secure a €200 donation to their club or sporting organisation.

Entries close on Monday 18th December. Remember it’s all about the quality (not quantity) of the nomination, so tell us as best you can why your nomination stands out and demonstrate the positive impact they have had.
