Following a further update received from Horse Sport Ireland yesterday evening, training activities are now permitted to resume on a countywide basis.
The permitted activities include:
- Instructor-led group lessons – restricted to a maximum of two households in a group, not including the instructor.
- Training events (i.e a training class with no placings, prizes or rosettes)
Members may only take part in training activities within their own county of residence or within 20 km of their home if crossing county boundaries.
All activities must now be pre-approved by AIRC and organising clubs/regions must submit an AIRC Activity Notification Form at least 5 days prior to the activity taking place. This is replacing the Event Notification Form for now. Activities cannot take place if this has not been submitted to National Office.
All activities are to take place behind closed doors with no spectators attending whilst all attendees must also complete an AIRC Covid-19 Attendance Form for contact tracing and health screening purposes prior to attending any activity. If an individual has not completed the form in advance, they cannot attend the activity.
A face covering or mask must be worn at all times while unmounted and under the chin when mounted when attending an activity.
All organisers and participants must adhere to HSI and AIRC Covid-19 protocols at all activities.
Visit our Covid-19 Information Hub for further information.
