Aisling Dargan got the team off to the perfect start with a clear round on Sky Starlet and this was followed by another clear from Claire Leahy on Diamond Discovery.
May Gilsenan provided the discard score after CJs Quest lowered three poles.ย while last to jump, Peter Dargan returned with one-time penalty to leave them team tied for second place on penalties with Belgium.
Morocco is hot on their heels in fourth place on 4 penalties while Mauritius follows on 5 penalties.
The competition continues tomorrow at 1pm Irish time where 14 nations will battle it out for the honours.
