Three teams qualified from the South West region qualifier for the Connolly’s Red Mills Dressage Championships, bringing the total number of teams through to the final to 10.
Skeavanish Equestrian Centre hosted the latest qualifier last Sunday where 10 teams took part leaving three spots up for grabs for the final in August.
The North Cork team of Ita Walsh (Mountkeeffe Sunshine), Vojtech Kroupa (Mountkeeffe Sunrise), Erin Morris (Into The Clouds) and Catriona Cronin (Major Tom of Waterloo) finished streets ahead of their opposition as they won with over 13% to spare.
Vojtech Kroupa consistently scored above 75% on Mountkeeffe Sunrise giving the team their highest score in each round. The North Cork member also won the intermediate individual qualifier.
The three-member team from Glengarriff had to settle for second place after their score of 419.54% left them behind the winners on 432.77%.
South West filled the remaining qualification spot on 413.11%
