A total of 39 applications were received from equestrian shows and events seeking sponsorship from the €125,000 fund available under the 2016 HSI Breeding Grant.
24 applicants, including one on behalf of the Riding Clubs Festival, were awarded funding following an evaluation of all of the applications by the Breeding Grant Evaluation Committee.
Commenting on the Breeding Grant, Alison Corbally, HSI Director of Breeding and Programmes said;
“There was considerable interest expressed in the Breeding Grant, with shows from all over the country applying for sponsorship for a range of different events and disciplines. I would like to thank the Breeding Grant Evaluation Committee who worked very hard to ensure that the fund will support initiatives which will help breeders and contribute to the overall industry. I would also like to thank all parties that submitted applications and wish them luck for their upcoming event”.
