Two teams from Donegal Gaeltacht Riding Club and another from Inishowen Riding Club have qualified for the Connolly’s Red Mills Team Dressage Championship Final in August.

It was a close contest with nothing between the top two teams as Donegal Gaeltacht edged out a narrow win over Inishowen at the recent West region qualifier at Eglinton Equestrian Centre where 11 teams took part in the decider.

The winning quartet of Patricia Warren (Rambo (HPA)), Cassandra Mc Gee (Gone With The Fairies), Emily Schneider (My Boy Boysie) and Ciara Boyle (Hes A Dandy) finished on a team total of 216.64%.

This gave them a slim win over Inishowen after their team of Lauren Mc Laughlin (Actinium Lily), Lynne Thompson (Shuttlehill Impish Lass), Nicola Coxford (Dannys Dream) and Jodie Carr (Ballyarnett Chancer) finished on 216.11%.

Donegal Gaeltacht also took the remaining qualification slot as their three member team of Liz Potter (Clyde), Cassandra Mc Gee (Bail Me Out), Rudy Schneider (My Boy Boysie) on 200.38%
