West Coast Riding Club won the recent Team Dressage Championship qualifier at Duffy’s Equestrian Centre where the final result came down to the wire.
Eight teams from the AIRC West region contested the qualifier in county Galway where a little over one percent separated the top two teams.
West Coast came out on top on a score of 204.38% consisting of Ciara Hanley (Trendy Ricardo Cruise), Alayne Wells (Marina Star), Marlena Klonowsca (Tailors Magical Tale) and Petra Hewer (Luidam Gold).

The Mayo ladies were just ahead of the Clare based club, Castle Carraig, who finished on a tally of 203.29% with the team consisting of Deirdre Cronin (Newline Boy), Brigid Barron (Fairsing Free Spirit), Lucy Daly (Sallybank Calypso) and Kate Robson (Lui D).
Both teams now go forward to Connolly’s Red Mills National Dressage Championships on Sunday 19th August at Mullingar Equestrian Centre..
Benbulben took third place on 200.38% while Springmount, Corrib and Round Tower completed the top six in fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
